Yesterday was a big day in my photography world. I finally upgraded and bought a 50D, boy am I excited!!! I always think it's interesting to note the first photos taken with a new camera. Naturally I went into our little backyard and photographed some of the plants that have survived the Texas heat. My favorite are the succulents in the strawberry pot. That was my mother-in-law's idea, isn't she creative?! The succulents are thriving while our jalapeño plant is finally growing ONE jalapeño! I had to take a photo of the tiny little baby jalapeño, I guess as proof to myself that we did at least get one this summer. I hope it's hot!

The 'W' kids met me for a photo shoot this Monday. Whew! I tell you what, they were back in action just as I remembered, but with a third team member! Elizabeth (is that spelled correctly?) is soooooooo cute. She is the little girl version of James with the most beautiful blue eyes and a great big smile. Oh so cute!
But, back to the boys. They did great, cooperated perfectly and smiled for every photo...in Sally's dreams! It only took 150 photos to get a few good ones where everyone was looking and smiling at the same time. That's not bad considering there are three of them, it was hot and there was a large expanse of golf course to run around on. I would have been quite distracted if I were 5. I always have a good time with this crew, I just wish it would last longer! Thanks W family!

And now, some photos of Allison from the Philly trip. Her passion is costume design and she has pursued it without hesitation. She is an inspiration to me to follow a dream. She is following hers no matter what is put in her way or what is said to dissuade her. Keep it up little sister, I'm proud of you!
I just realized I never posted photos from my Philly trip! Mom and I flew up there to help younger sister, Allison, pack up her car for her big move! Allison was a great tour guide. She hauled mom and me around the city and then did it again when Jay and Homeyer joined us Friday to Sunday. Good times were had, Jay loved the history, I loved the architecture. Enjoy the photos!
