Invading the Kimbell's Easter

Jay and I spent a lovely Easter in Wichita Falls with his parents this year. While I missed my very large family, I also enjoyed the perks of being with a small one. We started the weekend off with a crawfish boil (the #1 way to my heart) at a dear neighbor's house. Then continued to eat delicious meals all weekend. You see, my mother-in-law is a wonderful cook and we never go without a good meal while we're visiting!!

Sunday after church and lunch, I went to the Kimbell's, another close neighbor, to photograph the kids and their egg hunting mayhem only to find the kids couldn't wait and it had already happened! A few eggs were returned to the yard in order to get a few good photos, but the most special photos were the ones of the families interacting. AND, the kids were so excited about their eggs...who am I kidding, they were excited about the CANDY, and I was able to capture them in their sugar frenzy.

I love Easter. Not just because of the egg dying, hunting and candy eating, but because of the way it brings families together. AND, most importantly, because it is the day to celebrate our Lord Jesus rising from the grave, giving us all the possibility of new life in Him! Think about that, it's incredible and undeserved. Thank you, LORD!
